A trip to the dentist

It was that time again, time for my semi-annual trek into the dentist office in Morganton, for a check up and cleaning.  On the level of dental torture, this is pretty low for me - not non-existant, but relatively low. Maybe a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1 to 10.  My big fear is that they'll find $5,000 worth of stuff wrong with me.

Not this time.  I got off pretty much unscathed.  It seems I'm safe once again, at least until September.

Another bullet dodged.

You got more guts than me! I absolutely hate going to the Dentist, so badly my blood pressure goes up. I even had a dentist one time that refused to see me until I could get my blood pressure down and relax.

I pretty much don't go unless I just have to, cause of pain.

Well, at least you got a new toothbrush! As someone whose grandfather was a dentist, I don't hate going to the dentist. I hate the bills! Thank goodness we have dental insurance that covers most things.

WOW! That is amazing! Every time I go to the dentist they try to find stuff to fix ,even if I'm cavity free. Good for you!

Oh boy, I hate going to the dentist for that very reason. Last time it cost me nearly $7,000.

I don't care for dentists visits either but I admire them for having the guts to pick a profession that almost everyone talks bad about.

Heather: It might be more fear than guts. I dread it, but I go.

PA: Can always use a toothbrush. & the dental insurance covers most things, unless it costs a lot.

thinkinfyou: I know. You go in there feeling fine & the next thing you know you're getting scheduled for surgery or something. Well this time, I'm free for another six months.

Me-Me: I know exactly what you mean. Been there.

linlah: It just aint a pleasant place to go.

I have no problem with the dentist as far as pain goes. It's the bill that has me shakin' in my shoes. Glad you got through unscathed!

Kathy: Yep - the bill lasts a lot longer than the pain. Have dental insurance is better than nothing, but not a whole lot.
